ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to a robbery that occurred around the Manuka shops last night (Saturday, May 18).

Around 6.35pm a woman had withdrawn money from the Commonwealth Automated Teller Machine (ATM) on Bougainville Street when she was accosted by a man who snatched her purse and ran to a car parked nearby. Two men are suspected to be involved.

The vehicle in which they fled was a blue four-door sedan, (possibly a Hyundai), with NSW number plates (black on yellow).

The victim was unhurt during this incident.

The first offender is described as Caucasian in appearance, around 185cm (6’) tall, of athletic build, clean shaven with medium dark hair. He was wearing a jacket with a fluorescent orange torso, dark sleeves and navy coloured pants.

The second offender is described as Caucasian in appearance, 160cm (5’3”) tall, of medium build, pale round face with a thin brown beard. He was wearing a cream-coloured hooded jacket with a hatched pale grey/beige pattern.
