30 May 2013 – Armed Robbery – Service Station – Mt Tamborine

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a service station at Mount Tamborine in the early hours of this morning.
Around 4.15am a blue Ford Falcon sedan was driven to the Waterford Tamborine Road premises.
A man who was a passenger in the vehicle entered the service station armed with a knife and made demands for money from the female employee.
The man has walked around the counter and made further demands for money from the woman. He obtained an amount of money and cigarettes.
The man was observed to get back into the vehicle which left the scene.
The woman was not physically injured during the incident.
