Police are investigating the armed robbery of a Nerang café this morning.
At 12.10am, two men approached a male attendant at a Price Street business and threatened him with a metal bar before demanding money and a mobile phone.
A struggle ensued where the attendant was assaulted with the metal bar.
The pair left the scene on foot with the man’s bag and was last scene heading towards Cotton Street.
The attendant was transported to Robina Hospital with a head laceration and bruising to his torso.
The two men are described as having a solid, muscular build and were wearing black balaclavas, long black pants and grey hooded jumpers.
