Police are investigating the robbery of a tavern at Lawnton last night.
Around 11.55pm two men entered the rear entrance of the Gympie Road tavern and approached the bar area.
One man walked behind the bar and picked up a bottle before threatening two female staff and demanding money. The other man reached over the bar, taking a sum of cash from the counter.
They fled with the cash and a bottle of liquor.
The men were seen to enter a dark coloured hatchback, in which two other men were waiting, parked near the entrance.
The four men, all described as Aboriginal in appearance, then drove off in the vehicle.
The two men who entered the tavern are both described as being 180cms tall. The first man had a slim build and was wearing a black jacket, black T-shirt, blue denim jeans, brown shoes and a black cap with a white emblem.
The second man was wearing dark cargo pants, grey hooded jumper, blue T-shirt over his face and sunglasses.
The two men outside were seen to briefly exit the vehicle and are also described as being 180cms tall. One was wearing black knee length shorts, a red hooded jumper and red shorts.
The other man was wearing a black T-shirt with white writing, black cap, beige shorts and had an ‘afro’ hair style.
