6 June 2013 – Armed Robbery – Postal Business – Mermaid Beach

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a Mermaid Beach business today.
Shortly after midday a man entered the postal business on the Gold Coast Highway armed with a knife.
He threatened the female staff member and made demands for cash.
The staff member locked herself in a rear room of the business prior to the man taking cash from the cash register.
The man then fled on foot in a north-westerly direction.
