Police are appealing for public assistance after a convenience store in Sydney’s inner west was held up at knife point.
About 11pm yesterday (Sunday 16 June 2013), a man entered a convenience store on Stanmore Road, Stanmore, and threatened the male shop attendant with a box cutter.
He left a short time later on foot with an amount of cash and police from Marrickville Local Area Command were notified.
The employee was not injured in the incident.
A crime scene was established and examined by specialist forensic officers.
Investigators would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.
He is described as being of Middle Eastern/Mediterranean appearance, about 20 years of age, approximately 180cm tall, with a thin build and thick black eyebrows. At the time he was wearing a black hooded jacket, navy blue track pants, and white shoes
