Three men have been arrested following a series of handbag snatches from women in last 24 hours, across the city.

Between last night and this morning the three men allegedly using a stolen car to roam across the streets have committed four thefts and two attempt thefts of handbags from unsuspecting women.

The incidents occurred just before midnight in the Adelaide CBD, then this morning from 7am at Tea Tree Plaza, then Modbury, Brompton, North Adelaide and the last at West Lakes this morning just before 10.30am.

At around 11am, police found the stolen car at Seaton and with assistance of police dog patrols located the three suspects nearby in Glenburnie Street Seaton.

A 31-year-old man from Royal Park, a 24-year-old man from Woodville West and a 23-year-old man from Seaton, have all been arrested and charged with illegal use, commit theft using force and attempting to commit theft using force.

They have all been refused police bail and are expected to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow.

There were no serious injuries from the incidents and police have recovered some of the handbags from the stolen car.
