Police are looking for a man following an attempted armed robbery at a Mackay convenience store this afternoon.
At 5.40pm, a man armed with a knife entered the Evan Street store and demanded money from the female attendant.
She refused to comply, and the man left the scene empty-handed.
The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, with a slim build and is 160cm tall.
Investigations are continuing.
