Police have launched an investigation following an alleged glassing incident at a Beverly Hills Hotel overnight.

About 3am (Saturday 24 August 2013), a 33-year-old woman became involved in an altercation with another woman at a hotel on King Georges Road.

Officers were told the woman was struck to the back of the head and face and hit with a glass during the scuffle, suffering cuts to her head.

A short time later, a 23-year-old woman also reported having a glass thrown at her. She managed to shield her face from the object however, sustaining cuts to her right hand as a result.

Police were called and launched an investigation into both incidents, establishing a crime scene at the location.

Both women were taken to St George Hospital for treatment; neither of their injuries are considered life threatening.

Officers spoke to a number of witnesses at the hotel and inquiries into the circumstances behind the incidents are continuing.

Anyone with information that could assist investigators is urged to come forward.
