A Kingscote man was arrested yesterday for allegedly using a stolen credit card.
The 35-year-old man was arrested at Kingscote and charged with theft and deception offences.
It will be alleged that he stole a credit card from a North Adelaide letterbox and used it at various outlets in the Adelaide metropolitan area between 12 and 22 July, 2013.
He was bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 2 October.
Police wish to issue a timely reminder to the public to be aware of the dangers of mail theft. Make sure your letterbox is secure – a padlock is a simple but effective solution. Empty your letterbox every day, and get someone to collect your mail for you if you are going away. Consider using a post office box if you are away regularly or if you often receive important personal documents.
