8 September 2013 – Armed Robbery – Tavern – Durack

Police continue to investigate the overnight armed robbery of a tavern in Durack.

At 9.45pm a car pulled into the drive through of a King Avenue business with two men exiting the car. One man purchased a quantity of alcohol.

The second man then produced what appeared to be a firearm, threatening the attendant and demanding money.

However before any cash was provided he grabbed a bottle of alcohol and returned to the vehicle and they drove off.

Police spotted the car in Archerfield and at Acacia Ridge and attempted to intercept it however it failed to stop.

Investigations are continuing.
