Police are appealing for information following the armed robbery of a man near a Rockdale club overnight.
About 9.30pm (Saturday 5 October 2013), a 65-year-old man left a club on Chapel Street and walked a short distance towards his vehicle.
Two men armed with a firearm approached the man and demanded cash, before fleeing the location. They were last seen running toward Rockdale Plaza.
No one was injured during the incident.
Police from St George Local Area Command were alerted and launched an investigation.
Officers from the Dog Squad assisted in an extensive search of the surrounding area; however the men were not found.
Detectives would now like to speak to two men, who they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.
Both men are described as being of possible Mediterranean or Maori appearance and of a large build.
They were last seen wearing black t-shirts, black pants, black gloves and black balaclavas.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information on the whereabouts of either man is urged to come forward.
