Police are investigating two armed robberies overnight in Queen Street and Brisbane Terrace, Goodnda.

Around 9.40 a man approached a Queen Street business with a shotgun, threatened a staff member and a member of the public.  He attempted to gain entry to the business and fled without success.

A short time later a man with similar description (pictured) entered a Brisbane Terrace licenced premises with a shotgun, threatened staff and patrons demanding cash.  The man assaulted two patrons and fled on foot with an amount of cash.  Two patrons were treated by QAS for head injuries.

Police are investigating links between the two reports.
