Police are investigating an aggravated robbery at Thebarton early this morning. Just before 4.30am, a taxi driver was hailed down by a man on the street Morphett Vale and asked to drive him to Thebarton. As requested, the taxi driver drove the passenger to Pearson Street at Thebarton and when payment was requested, the passenger threatened him with a knife and demanded cash. The driver handed him a small amount of cash before the passenger ran off. The driver sustained minor abrasion to his hand as a result of the incident and received treatment at the scene. Police were called and with the assistance of a dog operations, the area was searched but the suspect was not located. The suspect is described as a man of Caucasian appearance, approximately 177cm tall, about 30-years-old, with a fit build and was clean shaven.
