Two men and a woman have been charged over the alleged armed robbery of a supermarket at Minto, in Sydney’s south west.

Just before 7.30pm yesterday (Wednesday 20 November 2013), two men walked into a supermarket on Pembroke Road one armed with a firearm.

The men threatened the attendant, a 46-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman, before fleeing with a sum of cash.

They were last seen getting into a waiting vehicle, driven by a third man

Police were alerted and officers from Campbelltown Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene which was examined by specialist forensic officers.

Following inquiries, local police – assisted by neighbouring commands, South West Metropolitan Region Enforcement Squad (Bass Hill) and the Dog Unit – attended a home on Wild Orange Place at Macquarie Fields.

Just after 9.30pm, three men and a female were arrested at the home.

During the arrest the 37-year-old man was bitten by the police dog and remains under guard at hospital. Once he has been treated for his injuries, the 37-year-old will be assisting Campbelltown detectives with inquiries. .

The men, aged 29 and 38, have been charged with robbery in company while armed with a dangerous weapon and have been bail refused to appear at Campbelltown Local Court today (Thursday 21 November 2013).

A 32-year-old woman was charged with being an accessory after the fact to the robbery. She was refused bail and will also appear in Campbelltown Local Court today.
