Police are searching for a man following the armed robbery of a convenience store at Hawthorne this evening.
Around 7.45pm the man entered the Hawthorne Road store before producing a firearm and demanding cash from the male attendant.
The employee complied with his demands and he fled the scene with a sum of cash.
The man was wearing dark clothing including a hooded jumper and a balaclava.
No one was physically injured during the incident.
Investigations are continuing.
