Police have released closed-circuit television images as they continue investigations into a glassing assault at Kings Cross last year.
About 3am on Saturday 23 November 2013, a 24-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman were sitting on a bench on Darlinghurst Road when an unknown man approached them.
Both men became involved in an argument before walking away.
A short time later the man and woman were standing outside a bar on Darlinghurst Road when the same man approached and started to argue with them.
During the argument the 24-year-old man was hit over the head with a glass bottle. His attacker then walked off across Darlinghurst Road towards Bayswater Road.
Police and NSW Ambulance Paramedics were called to the scene and the injured man was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital where he was treated for facial injuries.
Detectives from Kings Cross Local Area Command are continuing investigations into the assault and have released CCTV images of a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.
The man depicted in the images is described as being of Asian appearance, about 165cm tall with a medium build, dark hair and wearing dark jeans and a white t-shirt.
Anyone who recognises the man or witnessed the incident in November last year is urged to contact Crime Stoppers or Kings Cross Detectives on (02) 8356 0050.
