Police have charged an 18-year-old man following investigations into the attempted armed robbery of a taxi driver at Mount Isa this morning.
It will be alleged that around 9am, three men entered a taxi and asked the driver to take them to Miles Street.
On arrival, it is alleged that one of the men threatened the driver with a knife and made demands for money.
The man refused their demands and drove away.
An 18-year-old Mornington man has been charged with one count of attempted armed robbery and is due to appear in the Mount Isa Magistrates Court on January 27.
