Two men have been charged over the alleged armed robbery of a service station in Deniliquin on the weekend.
About 8:40pm on Sunday 9 February 2014, two men entered the service station on Victoria Street and allegedly threatened the female attendant with a knife.
The pair allegedly demanded money and fled the scene with cash and cigarettes.
Police from Deniliquin Local Area Command have been investigating the robbery and yesterday released closed-circuit television images as part of an appeal for information.
About 11pm last night (Monday 10 February 2014), two men, aged 18 and 28, attended Deniliquin Police Station where they were arrested.
The men were charged with armed robbery and refused bail to appear in Deniliquin Local Court today (Tuesday 11 February 2014). Investigations into the matter are continuing.
