Police have released CCTV stills of two men following the armed robbery of a newsagency in Sydney’s west yesterday.
About 4.30pm (Thursday 13 February), two males entered the newsagency on Campbell Street in Northmead armed with a knife and a firearm.
The males stole cash and left the scene in a vehicle being driven by a third person waiting in a nearby car park.
Nobody was injured and police from The Hills Local Area Command established a crime scene.
They have spoken with a large number of witnesses and have descriptions of the two males.
The first man is described as having a thin build, 175cm tall and wearing a black hooded jumper pulled over the rear of the head containing a white draw string, black track suit pants, white sports shoes and black backpack.
The other man armed with the firearm is described as having a solid build, 180cm tall and wearing a red hooded jumper pulled over the rear of the head which contained a black and white motif with the words ‘Southern’ on the front, a white face mask, black coloured track suit pants with two white coloured stripes running down the legs and black coloured shoes with white rim sole.
