Elizabeth police are investigating an aggravated robbery that occurred at the Friendly Grocer, Peachey Road, Davoren Park last night.

At about 5.30pm, a man armed with a knife and hammer threatened staff before leaving empty handed on a black bike toward Elizabeth.

No one was injured during the robbery. The suspect is described as a man of Caucasian appearance, 160 cm tall, 60kg, skinny build, tanned complexion, clean shaven, aged between 25 and 35.

He was wearing a black bicycle helmet, a long red shirt with white chequered pattern, blue shorts with a white stripe and black sports shoes. He was carrying a blue bag.
