Police are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery at a service station in Hurlstone Park overnight.
About 10.50pm (Thursday 3 April 2014), two men entered the station on Canterbury Road and threatened the attendant with a knife.
The pair fled the location a short time later with an amount of cash and cigarettes; they were last seen running north along Canterbury Road.
No one was injured during the incident.
Officers attached to Ashfield Local Area Command were contacted and launched an investigation into the incident.
A crime scene was established at the location and examined by specialist forensic officers.
Police also conducted an extensive search of the surrounding area, however the men were not found.
Inquiries into the matter are continuing and police would now like to speak to two men who may be able to assist in the investigation.
The first man was last seen wearing a dark-coloured hooded jumper, black track suit pants with white and yellow writing down the side, running shoes, a balaclava and he was carrying a blue bag.
The second man is described as having a tanned complexion and was last seen wearing a black hooded jumper with white print across the front, black track pants and sunglasses.
Anyone who knows the identity of either man or has any information that could assist detectives is urged to come forward.
