Police are appealing for information following the armed robbery of a take-away store in Auburn last night.

About 9.30pm (Saturday 12 April 2014), a 42-year-old man was working at a kebab shop on Parramatta Road, near Station Road, when two men armed with knives entered the store.

Police have been told they threatened the man before removing cash from the register and fleeing the scene west along Parramatta Road.

Officers attached to Flemington Local Area Command attended the shop and established a crime scene which was examined by forensic officers.

Detectives are continuing investigations into the robbery and are looking for the two men who have been described as wearing dark clothing and faces covered.

They are also appealing for a man who chased the armed males from the scene to come forward and contact police.
