Police are investigating an aggravated robbery at a deli on Anderson Walk, Smithfield last night.

Just before 6pm, two men allegedly armed with knives threatened staff before stealing a small amount of cash and a packet of cigarettes.

They fled on foot and joined two other men who waited outside.

No staff were injured and the men were last seen running off in a westerly direction.

The four are described as all being about 15-18 years with one Caucasian, slim build, dark hair and wearing a black hooded jumper and black track pants with white vertical stripes on the side.

He was carrying a black backpack with a grey motif on the front.

The second – Caucasian, medium build and wearing a white T-Shirt, blue sleeveless hooded jumper, dark coloured baseball cap, beige shorts and black and white shoes.

The third – Caucasian, medium build and wearing a maroon and white checked jumper with a grey hood, a dark beanie, maroon pants and dark shoes.

He was carrying a black backpack and the fourth – Caucasian, light coloured hair, medium build and wearing a beanie, black hooded jumper with a white motif on the front, black pants and light coloured shoes.
