Detectives from Strike Force Glidden, which was formed by the Robbery and Serious Crime Squad and Raymond Terrace detectives to investigate a number of armed robberies in the Hunter, have arrested and charged an 18-year-old Woodberry man.
About 6pm yesterday (Tuesday 6 May), officers executed a search warrant at a home on Michael Hill Avenue in Woodberry, where they located and seized a number of items associated with drug supply.
Two hours later, at 8pm, an 18-year-old man attended Raymond Terrace Police Station, where he was charged with:
– One count of robbery whilst armed with a dangerous weapon (attempted); and,
– One count of supply prohibited drug on an ongoing basis.
The 18 year old was refused bail to appear in Raymond Terrace Local Court today (Wednesday 7 May 2014)
In court, detectives will allege that the man was one of three people involved in the attempted armed robbery of a pub in Medowie on 10 April 2014.
Two other men have already been charged in relation to the attempted robbery; both are before the courts.
