Police are appealing for information following a glassing at Peakhurst last night.

About 7.50pm (Thursday 8 May 2014), a 40-year-old man was with a group of friends at a hotel on Forest Road when he became involved in a verbal fight with another man.

Police have been told the man then punched the 40-year-old, before hitting him with a schooner glass.

He left the scene towards Durkin Place and emergency services were called.

The injured man was taken to St George hospital, to be treated for cuts to his face.

Officers attached to St George Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

As they continue their investigations, they would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist them with their inquiries.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 40-years-old, with blonde hair and of medium build.

He was seen wearing a yellow jacket, black pants and white shoes
