5 May 2014 – Armed Robbery – Foodworks Supermarket – Elizabeth East

Police are currently at the scene of an aggravated robbery at Elizabeth East. Just before 6.30pm, a man allegedly armed with a knife, entered the Foodworks supermarket on Midway Road and threatened staff.

The man ran out of the supermarket with an amount of cash and was last seen heading south along Atlanta Street in a black Nissan Nivara utility, registration number S561APG being driven by another person. No one was injured.

The suspect is described as being of Aboriginal appearance, slim build and wearing a black hooded top.
