Police are investigating following the armed robbery of a service station in McGraths Hill.

Just before 9.30pm yesterday (Friday 9 May 2014), two men – one armed with a meat cleaver – entered the service station, which is located on Windsor Road.

They forced the male cashier onto the ground in the console area. One of the men then filled a bag with cigarettes.

The men asked the cashier where the safe was located, at which time he ran outside, locked the front door behind him, and called Triple Zero.

The offenders escaped the premises by smashing the panel of a garage door. They then fled the scene in a dark-coloured sedan with black and white number plates.

Police from Hawkesbury Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene, which has been examined by specialist forensic officers.

Detectives wish to speak with two men who may be able to assist with their investigations into this incident.

The first man is described as being about 175 centimetres tall and with a slim build. The second man is described as being 165 centimetres tall and with a slim build.
