Police are appealing for witnesses after an armed robbery of a service station in Minto last night.
About 9.10pm (Wednesday 28 May 2014), a 21-year-old male attendant was at the counter of the shop, when a man entered.
The man approached and threatened the attendant with a hammer.
He demanded money and the attendant complied, handing over a sum of cash. The man then took a number of cigarette packets before running from the location.
Police were contacted and Macquarie Fields Local Area Command attended commencing an investigation.
No one was injured as a result of the incident.
Investigators would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.
He was described as Caucasian appearance, 170cm tall, thin build, wearing a black hooded jumper, black pants and florescent blue runners.
