Police are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery at a bottle shop in Campbelltown overnight.
Just after 7pm (Thursday 26 June 2014), a man entered the store on Lindesay Street and threatened staff with a firearm.
He fled the location a short time later with cash and cigarettes.
No one was injured during the incident.
Officers from Campbelltown Local Area Command were notified and launched an investigation.
Local police, with the assistance of the Dog Unit, conducted an extensive search of the surrounding area; however the man was not found.
Investigators also spoke to a number of witnesses at the location.
A crime scene was established at the store and examined by forensic specialists.
Inquiries into the matter are continuing and police have now released CCTV images of a man who police believe may be able to assist in the investigation.
The man depicted in the images is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his late 30s to early 40s, about 173cm tall, short hair with a bald patch on top of his head, facial stubble and of a thin build.
He’s shown wearing a fluorescent yellow high-visibility jumper, dark-coloured pants, white joggers and carrying a black bag.
Anyone who knows the man’s identity of has any information that could assist detectives is urged to come forward.
