30 June 2014 – Arrest – Armed Robbery – Sports Club – Moore Park Beach

Police have charged a 26-year-old local man following an armed robbery at a Sports Club in Moore Park Beach last night.

It will be alleged that around 9.15pm, a man entered the Club Avenue business, intimated that he was armed with a gun, and threatened a 21-year-old female employee before fleeing with a sum of alcohol.

No one was injured during the incident.

The 26-year-old man has been charged with one count each of armed robbery and assault police.

He is due to appear in the Bundaberg Magistrates Court this morning.
