Police are investigating an armed robbery at Fairfield West.
Just after 6pm yesterday (Monday 7 July 2014), a man entered a service station on Hamilton Road with his face concealed.
The man approached the attendant – a 24-year-old man – and threatened him with a knife, demanding money.
He fled with cash and police were alerted.
No one was injured.
Officers from Fairfield Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene that was examined by specialist forensic officers.
An investigation is underway in an attempt to locate the man involved.
He’s described as being of Caucasian appearance, approximately 168cm tall, with a medium to large build.
Police have been told the man has a slight accent.
Officers are investigating links between this incident and similar armed robberies that have occurred in Smithfield and Merrylands recently.
