Police are appealing for information following a robbery at a golf club in Nambucca Heads yesterday.
About 9.15pm (Sunday 31 August 2014), a 57-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman were locking up the front door of a golf club on Stuart Island, when four men armed with what was believed to be a metal pipe approached them.
Police have been told the four men demanded they open the doors, before they assaulted the man by striking him in the left arm and leg.
The alleged offenders entered the premises, before fleeing the scene with cash, a mobile phone, car keys and a purse, and taking the woman’s Holden Commodore.
Officers attached to Mid North Coast Local Area Command were called and commenced investigations.
Police located the Holden Commodore in Woodbell Street, Nambucca Heads, a short time later. It has been seized for forensic examination.
As police continue to investigate the incident, they are appealing for any witnesses or anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area at the time of the incident to come forward.
The four men are only described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance.
