Police are appealing for information after a man robbed a convenience store at Glebe last night while armed with a syringe.
About 5pm, Thursday 2 October 2014, a man was working in a convenience store on Glebe Point Road when he was confronted by a man armed with a syringe.
He demanded cash from the register before stealing a backpack and running from the store. The shopkeeper gave chase but lost sight of the man near Mitchell Street.
Police from Leichhardt Local Area Command were called to the store and established a crime scene which was examined by forensic officers.
Detectives are continuing their investigations into the robbery and are looking for a man described as being about 180cm tall, aged in his 30s with a tanned complexion, a slim build and a dark beard.
He was wearing a dark-coloured hooded jacket as well as dark knee-length shorts and black joggers.
