Police are investigating the attempted armed robbery of a store at Tomerong, on the state’s south coast.
About 7.15pm yesterday (Wednesday 15 October 2014), a man entered the store on Hawken Road and approached the owner, who was in the process of closing the store.
The man, who had his face concealed and was armed with a brick paver, demanded money from the male owner.
He refused and the man fled empty-handed.
Police were alerted and officers from Shoalhaven Local Area Command attended and commenced inquiries.
Investigators are appealing for public assistance to locate the man involved.
He’s described as being aged in his mid 20s and with a medium build.
