Detectives investigating the armed robbery of a bottle shop near Wollongong earlier this year have released CCTV images of men they believe may be able to assist them with inquiries.
About 8.20pm on Monday 12 May 2014, two attendants, a 43-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman were at the counter of a bottle store on Popes Road, Woonona, when two people with their faces covered approached the counter.
They threatened the attendants with a knife demanding money. The employees complied and handed over cash. The armed men then fled on foot with the cash.
Police were contacted and officers from Wollongong Local Area Command commenced an investigation.
No one was injured as a result of the incident.
Following inquiries, police have released an image of two men who may be able to assist them with their investigation.
Both men are described as being of Caucasian appearance and aged in their early 20s.
Both men are shown wearing distinctive hooded jumpers; one being a dark grey hooded jumper with a white “Ralph Lauren Polo” motif on his left chest and the number “3” on the right upper arm.
The other man is wearing a dark blue hooded jumper with a motif (possibly the Gold Coast Titans NRL team) on the left chest and the number “2” on the upper right arm and on the back.
Investigators are appealing for anyone with any information surrounding the incident to come forward.
