Police are investigating an armed robbery of an adult store in Liverpool yesterday afternoon.
About 2.40pm (Friday 7 November 2014), a man armed with a knife entered an adult store on Scott Street and approached a 24-year-old male staff member behind a counter.
Police have been told the armed man threatened the staff member, demanding cash.
The employee then attempted to lead the armed man out of the store, when the armed man chased the employee for a short distance outside the store.
He then fled the scene with cash. The employee returned to the store and contacted police.
Officers attached to Liverpool Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.
The 24-year-old man received minor cuts to his arm; however did not require treatment.
As police continue to investigate the incident, they would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist them with their inquiries.
He is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, about 28-years-old, of large muscular build and with brown hair.
Anyone with information or who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area at the time of the incident is urged to come forward and contact police.
