Police established a crime scene following an armed robbery in Macksville yesterday.

Just before 2pm (Monday 1 December 2014) three men entered a financial institution on Cooper Street, Macksville.

Two of the men were armed with knives and the third with a firearm.

They threatened staff and demanded cash.

The men left with cash in a southerly direction, and were last seen heading towards the Pacific Highway in a maroon 4WD, similar to a Toyota Landcruiser.

The men have been described as being of Aboriginal / Torres Strait Islander appearance and were wearing balaclavas and gloves.

No one was injured during the robbery.
