Police are investigating an aggravated assault and aggravated robbery which occurred at Daw Park overnight.
Just before 11pm, a man closed his grocery store on Goodwood Road, when he was approached by two men in balaclavas who were both armed with firearms.
The suspects threatened him and demanded cash.
They then forced the victim into the back seat of his silver Holden Barina, bound his hands with duct tape and then drove around nearby streets before leaving the victim and his car in Penang Avenue.
The offenders left empty handed and are described as being about 172cm tall and stocky build.
They were both wearing dark clothing, balaclavas and gloves.
The 48-year-old victim from Pooraka was not physically injured.
