Police have arrested and charged a 28-year-old man from Payneham with two counts of aggravated robbery, two counts of attempted aggravated robbery and breach of bail following an incident at Payneham this afternoon.
Police will allege at about 2pm, a man armed with a knife threatened four people who were all standing in the rear car park of an RSL club on Payneham Road and demanded cash. On two of these occasions, money was handed over and the suspect fled. Thankfully no one was injured.

After speaking with him, police will allege they saw a knife protruding from the pocket of his jeans. He was arrested and taken into custody.
With the assistance of Eastern Adelaide CIB, the suspect’s house was searched and police will allege items of clothing, believed to be worn by the suspect at the time of the offence, were found as well as the stolen money and the weapon used during the robberies.
