11 March 2015 – Charges Laid – Armed Robbery – General Store – Byrneside

Shepparton Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man in relation to an armed robbery at the general store in Byrneside, near Shepparton, early yesterday morning.

Following a public appeal yesterday, police received information that lead to the arrest of 24-year-old Dermott Street.

The Kyabram man was arrested at his home address about 6.30pm and was interviewed and charged overnight.

He is set to appear at Shepparton Magistrates’ Court today.

Police wish to thank the media and members of the public for their assistance.
