Police are appealing for witnesses after an attempted armed robbery in Padstow last night.
About 10pm (Thursday 2 April 2015), a 33-year-old man was working at the counter of a service station on Davies Road, when a man entered the shop.
The man approached the attendant, threatened him with a knife and demanded cash.
The attendant refused and the man ran from the location empty handed.
Police were contacted and officers from Bankstown Local Area Command attended commencing an investigation.
The attendant was uninjured during the incident.
Investigators would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the attempted robbery or has information that may assist with their inquiries.
The man was described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, about 170cm tall, with a medium build, and short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a grey jumper, grey baseball cap, dark blue pants and black boots.
