Police are investigating an aggravated robbery involving a delivery driver who was robbed of his personal possessions in Wingfield overnight.

About 12:30am, the victim was making a delivery to the rear of a snack bar on South Terrace.  As he was returning to the front of his truck, having just locked the truck’s rear doors, a man approached him, threatened him with a knife and demanded jewellery and money.  The delivery driver handed over his titanium wedding ring, silver neck chain and some cash. The silver chain was dropped as the suspect ran-off west along Paisley Street towards a park located at the end of the Street.

Police were called and both patrols and the police dog searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.  The victim was not injured.

The suspect is described as a man with dark-tanned complexion, approximately 165cm to 170cm tall, slim build, wearing a grey hooded top with dark blue sleeves, fawn coloured jeans and sneakers.
