A man has been charged following the alleged armed robbery of a hotel in Miami last night.
Police will allege that at about 6.10pm a man entered the dining area of a hotel on the Gold Coast Highway and has approached the bar and demanded money from the staff while armed with a meat cleaver.
It will be further alleged that staff complied with the man’s demands and he left the premises on foot with a sum of cash.
The man was found a short time later and was arrested.
A 25-year-old man was charged with one count of armed robbery and is due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow, April 15.
