Police have charged two men following an armed robbery that occurred in Warwick overnight.

Around 8.30pm, a man has entered a service station on Helene Street and approached the counter.

Police will allege that he produced a knife, threatened the attendant and fled the scene with a quantity of cash.

The attendant wasn’t physically injured as a result, and two men were taken into custody a short time later.

A 19-year-old Warwick man has been charged with one count each of armed robbery and possession of a utensil.

He is due to appear in the Warwick Magistrates Court today.

An 18-year-old Warwick man has also been charged with one count of armed robbery in company and is due to appear in the Warwick Magistrates Court on May 6
