Police are investigating the armed robbery of a bottle shop at Edmonton last night.

Around 9.30pm three men entered the drive-through section of the Bruce Highway premises before one of them confronted an employee with a glass bottle.

He made threats while demanding the male attendant provide access to the till.

The trio fled the scene after stealing a sum of money from the cash register and a quantity of alcohol.

Two of the men were described as being Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander in appearance, with one having short dark hair and wearing a light blue shirt.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

Investigations are continuing.
