Detectives have charged a man following the armed robbery of a service station at the intersection of Oxley and Sherwood Roads at Sherwood this morning.

Police will allege that the man entered the business around 1.30am armed with a knife, demanding money and cigarettes.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

An 18-year-old Sherwood man has been charged with armed robbery, enter with intent and possess utensils or pipes.
He is due to appear in the Richlands Magistrates Court tomorrow.
