Police are searching for a thief who allegedly stole petrol from a service station in Taylors Lakes earlier this month.
Police have been told a man driving a blue Holden VF Commodore pulled over at a service station on the corner of Kings Road and Melton Highway just before 6pm on Saturday 6 June.
It is believed the offender filled the car up with petrol worth more than $70 before driving away.
The thief is described as Caucasian in appearance, 175cm tall with black short hair.
He was wearing grey cargo pants with a navy blue ‘Western Bulldogs’ jumper.
Investigators believe the vehicle displayed green P-plates and stolen registration plates, WSN 887 and have released an image of a man that may assist with their enquiries.
