Police are appealing for information after an armed robbery at a Greenacre sporting club overnight (Tuesday 23 June 2015).

About 10.30pm a male and female employees were finishing their shifts for the night at Waterloo Road club.

The male employee was walking towards a room at the rear of the club when a man emerged from the women’s toilets and threatened the employee with a knife.

After being given a quantity of cash the man left the club via a fire exit. Neither employee was injured during the robbery.

The man has been described to police as wearing a dark blue or black hooded jumper, black tight long pants black shoes, possibly wearing a fluorescent yellow work shirt underneath the jumper.

His face remained covered during the robbery.
