22 June 2015 – Armed Robbery – Petrol Station – Windsor Gardens

Police have arrested a man after investigation into an attempted robbery at a petrol station in Windsor Gardens.

Just before midnight on Saturday 6 June, a man armed with a knife entered the Liberty Service Station on North East Road and demanded cash.

A staff member activated an alarm causing the offender to flee empty handed.

Investigation by Police has led to the arrest of a 29-year-old man from Hillcrest. He has been charged with attempted aggravated robbery and is expected to appear in the Holden Hill Magistrates Court later today.
